esy to use -- marker works well to write on label and doesn't rub off. Been using this brand for many years and will continue as long as quality stays. These are so easy to grab and stick on food for the freezer. I also use them to reseal opened bags. They stick well, but leave some residue when removed. Is there a trick to these? I put up some veggies in the freezer a couple of weeks ago. I got into the freezer yesterday and found 2 of the labels free floating among my freezer stock.Keeping freezer products with item and dateThe frustration I have had over the years with freezer labels falling off led me to hunt for a better solution. We have two freezers besides the one with the refrigerator and I put up a lot of our own food from the garden and fruit trees. I cannot begin to count the number of times that I've found a package that the label fell off of and although I could tell what the item was, I had no clue what the date of the item was. These labels come on a roll and are very easy to peel off and stick to plastic, foil or containers, whether it be glass or plastic. Several of the reviews I read about these labels stated that they wouldn't remove from the container very well. That simply doesn't bother me if that is true as I will just place another of these labels on top of the old one. I use the same containers year after year in my freezers so a build up of labels won't be a problem. More sticking power the better! I write with a permanent marker which the labels take quite well and there is no bleeding or fading even when wet.Hard to find freezer labels in the local stores. This one provides so many basic labels for a reasonable price. They are great for fast, get the job done labeling. I love that it is on an easy peel roll. After awhile they do start to peel off the container at the edge, at least on the tupperware containers, but not a problem if you use your frozen goods frequently. They still stick enough to last, and it makes it easy to peel off on reusable containers. I don't think they will peel on plastic bags, but not sure. There is not a lot of room to write extra detail, such as future cooking instructions. And it may not be what to use for a presentation gift.It works a lot better than the freezer tape that I used for years... I love the fact that you can roll it out on a flat surface to write the label and then peel it off.The only drawback is that with the Pilot G-2 pens that I use, the ink will smear easily, the way I've been working that out is to just lay the sticker on the container/package, then place a piece of paper on top of that, then massage it down. Then I usually let it sit at room temperature for a bit, as opposed to just freezing it right away... This method works well for me, also using a different kind of pen may possibly help, but I really doubt it.I should have just bought these labels to begin with. I had used them forever, and they work great. They stay stuck when frozen. I had forgotten the name, so the last time I bought some I bought a different type ( square) from a different company. They didn't stick at all, so I researched and found my way back to these. They actually work.
